Wapes ("we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your information when you use our productivity and contact management tool for WhatsApp.

02 Information we collect

Wapes collects a minimal amount of anonymous data for feature management and technical support. This data is sent securely to our backend (https://api.wapes.lat):

• Extension UUID A randomly generated unique identifier. NOT linked to your identity.
• Extension version Current version number, for update control.
• Installation date When the extension was first installed.
• Message count Total messages sent, for daily limit management.
• Timezone & language For correct date and time formatting.

03 What we do NOT collect

Wapes is designed to protect your privacy. We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

• × Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
• × Your phone number or WhatsApp account details.
• × Message content or recipient information.
• × Contact lists or the contents of CSV or Excel files.
• × Browsing history or activity outside WhatsApp Web.

04 How we use the data

We use the collected anonymous data to:

• Feature flags Enable or disable features remotely for quality control.
• Limit management Track daily sending limits (900 messages/day).
• Usage analytics Understand adoption and usage patterns of the extension.
• Version control Identify which users need updates.
• Technical support Help resolve technical issues.

05 How Wapes works

Wapes operates primarily inside your browser:

• Local processing: all message sending happens directly in your browser, using the WhatsApp Web interface.
• Anonymous backend: only anonymous data (UUID, counters) is sent to the backend for feature management.
• Local storage: your templates and preferences are saved locally in your browser (localStorage).
• File processing: Excel/CSV files are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to the backend.

06 Locally stored data

The following information may be stored locally in your browser (localStorage):

• Message templates you create.
• Your pause preferences between sends.
• Interface preferences.

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension.

07 Storage and security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• Secure backend Data hosted on a private Contabo VPS (contabo.com) with HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Data retention Anonymous data is retained indefinitely for service continuity.
• No data selling We never sell, rent, or share data with third parties.
• Deletion You can request deletion of your UUID by contacting us.

08 Third-party services

Wapes interacts with the following third-party services. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies independently:

• WhatsApp Web Messaging interface. Your use is subject to WhatsApp's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. View policy →
• Paddle (paddle.com) Payment gateway and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payment data under its own Privacy Policy. Wapes does not store or access your payment information.
• Contabo VPS Private backend infrastructure for storing anonymous UUIDs and usage counters.

09 Browser permissions

Wapes requires the following permissions:

• Access to web.whatsapp.com Required to inject the messaging interface into WhatsApp Web.
• Storage Required to save your templates and UUID locally.
• Backend access Required for authentication, feature flags, and usage counters.

10 Children's privacy

Wapes is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify any changes by posting the new Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

13 Your rights and data ownership

Your data belongs to you.

To the extent required by applicable law (GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access: view the anonymous data associated with your UUID.
• Deletion: request complete removal of your UUID and associated data from our backend.
• Objection: object to the processing of your data by writing to us at wapes.crm@gmail.com.
• Portability: request a copy of the data we hold associated with your UUID.
